I don't think we've seen the last of Gorbachev. He's always maintained that if democracy was threatened in the old USSR, he would re-enter politics to set things straight. When he officially stepped down, he also said "I will be back." Zhirinovsky is a loose cannon and plays right into this, as he's a man who claims he wants to be elected and become dictator and there are many disillusioned people in the Soviet Union who are yearning to have the old guard back. Interestingly, Zhirinovsky is supported mostly by the military. I think he's the perfect "enemy" to get Gorbachev back into things. Also, according to "Prophecy in the News," November, 1989 "...before the Russian revolution in 1917, Gorbachev's family name was spelled GOGrbachev." Can this be coincidence? There are some scholars who believe that the word "Gog" was used like "Pharaoh" for the ideal political head of a region. They also think that Magog was either Syria or Russia. Another interesting thing about Russia is that they have one of the world's (if not THE world's) largest standing horse-cavalry. They still have government owned stables and are very picky about breeding rights. I can see horses, swords, shields, bows and arrows in a future scenario. (Just as an aside, what would happen to all the computerized weapons if a neutron or other bomb or HAARP, for that matter, were thrown into the equation? My computer doesn't work half the time now and there's no one out there TRYING to jam it.) In the West men play and boast of their cars, in the East they play and boast about their horses. But, of course, don't take my word for it, Tom, Dick and Harry :) Bye, Moza
