Hi Kim, I have a book called "The Prophecies of St. Malachy" published in 1969. The prophecy that supposedly corresponds with John Paul II is - De Labore Solis (From the toil of the sun or Of the eclipse of the sun). Seeing he has given his pontificate to Mary and is so enamored with Fatima I guess this fits quite well. The next prophecy in the book says - Gloria Olivae (The glory of the Olive) "The Order of St. Benedict has claimed by tradition that this pope will come from within the Order. St. Benedict himself has prophecied that before the end of the world comes about, his Order will triumphantly lead the Catholic Church in its fight against evil. The Order of St. Benedict is also know as the Olivetans, which may well account for another interpretation of the prophecy." The last pope's prophecy is - Petrus Romanus "In the final persecution of the Holy Roman Church there will reign Peter the Roman, who will feed his flock among many tribulations; after which the seven-hilled city will be destroyed and the dreadful Judge will judge the people." I have read a few articles myself regarding the likely successor to this pope and the name that keeps coming up is Carlo Maria Martini. "He is a Jesuit, aged sixty nine. He speaks eleven languages, has written fifty books and is Italy's best-selling author. His cathedral congregation regularly tops five thousand people. He presides over the largest Catholic diocese in the world, situated in Europe, the European Economic Community no less. He rules there over two thousand priests, and five million Catholic laity." (Despatch Magazine, Sept. 1996) Maybe the double cross reference has something to do with him? Moza
